The official celebration, known as Angkor Sankranta, is an amazing experience and the biggest festival of the year. It's a vibrant, joyous explosion of culture, tradition, food, and fun, all set against the magnificent backdrop of the Angkor temples.

What is Angkor Sankranta?
Angkor Sankranta is a public event organized to welcome and celebrate the traditional Khmer New Year. It's a time of immense national pride and joy, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
Traditional Games
The festival grounds are filled with Cambodians of all ages playing traditional games like Leak Kanseng (towel hiding) and Bos Angkunh (seed throwing).
Dancing & Music
You'll hear the sounds of traditional music everywhere, and you'll see circles of people enjoying the Romvong, the national folk dance of Cambodia.
