The Spirit of Giving in Battambang: Why Community is the Heart of Cambodian Culture Travelers often say that Battambang feels different from other cities. It is quieter, friendlier, and more connected. A look back at my time at Saint Buni-an University of Battambang (SBUBB) reminds me why. On October 4, 2015 , I joined a student-led charity initiative that perfectly captures the local spirit. Our mission was simple: prepare and deliver meals to patients at two local hospitals who were struggling with the costs of medical care. It was a reminder that in Battambang, no one walks alone.
